With the advent of Shark Tank, I find myself constantly trying to come up with my million dollar idea. Trying to find a better way to do something or have something made. When I saw SwimZip, I thought DUH! Why didn’t I think of that? I wasn’t surprised to find out that the company was started in 2009 by a mommy :) Who else?!
Since August was born, I have always put him in a rash guard for sun protection, but the issue always is getting it over his head because the necks are purposely snug. We are heading to the beach for the first time with my 8 month old daughter in a couple weeks and when I started hunting around online for the perfect rash guard for her, I came across SwimZip. Brilliant! You get the coverage of a rash guard but with the zipper added for an easier on/off. It helps that they have adorable prints and styles to choose from. I picked up this pink polka dot number for Coco.Thought the top would go sweetly over her yellow tutu one piece swim suit I bought her recently.
What I love about SwimZip, in addition to their suits having UV 50+ protection, is their patterns and styles aren’t overly cutesy and the colors aren’t too syrupy. I loved the boys styles too for August. They were more modern than most suits I see, but as luck would have it, August still fits into last years suit and rash guard, so he will be slumming it. With summer approaching, this is my idea of a MustHave for the kids.
